Stress is Tough, but You Are Tougher (& resourceful!) 💪🏻
If stress has been tugging at your sleeve lately, you’re not alone. Life gets overwhelming, but the good news? There are simple, natural ways to find your calm. Here’s what I’ve been loving lately—easy, effective tips to reset and recharge for 2025!
1. Breathe in Nature 🌿
You don’t need to trek up a mountain—even a walk in your local park works wonders. Nature has this quiet magic, helping to soothe your nervous system and restore balance. Bonus points if you leave your phone at home!
2. Tapping into Mindfulness 🧘♀️
Meditation is powerful, but I get it: sitting still isn’t for everyone. That’s where EFT Tapping comes in. Picture this: gently tapping on specific points on your body while speaking your truth about how you feel. It’s like therapy meets acupressure, and the relief can be instant. To help you out, I have some awesome short and self-paced courses to guide you through some common tapping processes so that you can get a feel (or a review!) for it. Check them out here MINI COURSES AVAILABLE
3. Move Your Body, Free Your Mind 💃
Dance it out. Stretch it out. Or just take a long, lazy stroll. Movement releases those feel-good chemicals we all love and need. Plus, it’s an instant mood booster. I’ve been using the app Downdog with my son recently to choose what level of stretching/yoga we feel like and it’s been great! I’m loving the extra connection time with not only myself but also my son. He didn’t want a bar of it when I suggested that I show him some moves, but loves the app and doing it together! 4. Create a Sunset Ritual ☀️
Ever feel a wave of unease as the day winds down? You’re not alone; it’s called “sunset anxiety.” Sunset anxiety usually impacts “people who tend to run on the anxious side, are sensitive to circadian light shifts or sensitive to loss, and are very aware of their emotions,” said Gail Saltz, MD, associate professor of psychiatry at the NY Presbyterian Hospital Weill-Cornell School of Medicine. People who are sensitive to light and have an anxiety disorder may feel their mood drop in the evenings, along with the sun, Saltz said..(source: https://www.verywellhealth.com/sunset-anxiety-8760547)
Combat sunset anxiety with a comforting evening ritual—like brewing a cup of tea, journaling, or watching the stars come out. This is also where EFT Tapping is brilliant in closing off the day’s events and setting up for a restful evening.
💥 Now for the Wildcard…💥
Here’s a tip that might surprise you: Sing out loud. 🎶 Even if you’re not the next Adele, singing engages your vagus nerve (a key player in your body’s relaxation system). Put on your favourite feel-good song and belt it out. Trust me—it’s not just fun, it’s science. I do this often and my family LOVES to hear my vocals 😉😂 …NOT! But there’s a good reason to keep belting out the ballads!
Final Thoughts:
You’re more resourceful than you think, and chronic stress doesn’t stand a chance when you’ve got tools like these. Start small. Try one tip. Let me know how it feels for you.
I’m here, cheering you on always. Got questions about EFT or want to share what’s working for you? Just hit reply—I’d love to hear from you.
With calm vibes, Angela x
